The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability (BCCS) Awards, organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce a record number of applications for the BCCS 2023 Awards. This year’s edition has received an unprecedented total of over 90 applications.
With an impressive 33 applications for the main award and 61 submissions for the projects awards, this surge in participation underscores the growing commitment of businesses to prioritizs sustainable development as a core element of their operations.
Now in its 20th year, the BCCS Awards serve as a platform to recognize and celebrate the exemplary efforts of companies dedicated to the principles of corporate citizenship. The competitive landscape of this year’s awards demonstrates that companies across sectors are proactively integrating sustainable practices into their business models. The diverse array of companies that have come forward to showcase their efforts in sustainable development, as well as the innovative projects across a variety of initiatives not only demonstrates a heightened awareness of the importance of sustainability but also underscores a genuine desire among businesses to contribute positively to our world, Secretary General and CEO of the Ceylon Chamber Mr. Buwanekabahu Perera said.
The submissions are now in the evaluation stage, and winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 12 March, at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
