About Us
We’re here to support businesses and be their collective voice in Sri Lanka. Our diverse membership includes everyone from large corporations to small businesses, and we work closely with government institutions to help businesses thrive.
We harness our extensive networks to provide a wide range of services to help businesses grow.This includes promoting international trade and investment, sharing valuable market insights, offering educational sessions and workshops, advocating for businesses with the government, and providing essential business services like issuing Certificates of Origin, all aimed at boosting the country’s economy.
We actively engage with government officials, the President, Prime Minister, and relevant Ministers, and collaborate with industry experts, economists, thought leaders, professionals and policy advocates and operate specialised committees to help shape national policies.
Additionally, our flagship events like the Sri Lanka Economic Summit and Sri Lanka Investment Forum are vital in fostering discussions on socio-economic policies and promoting a sustainable and progressive economy.
Structure
The affairs of the Chamber are administered by a Committee of the Chamber, with members elected or appointed in compliance with the Chamber Rules.
The Board functions as a sub Committee of the Chamber vested with powers delegated by the Committee.
The Chamber Secretariat headed by a Secretary General who is also its Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board, functions to implement the programmes of the Chamber.

The Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer
The Secretary General of the Chamber serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is tasked with executing all decisions made by the Committee and Board. In this capacity, the SG/CEO operates under the overarching guidance and supervision of the Committee. Furthermore, the SG/CEO leads the Chamber Secretariat and ensures its smooth and efficient operation.
Deputy Secretary General/Chief Operating Officer/Financial Controller
The Deputy Secretary General (DSG) and Chief Operating Officer roles oversee matters of strategic significance. In this role, the DSG and COO provides leadership to ensure the alignment of activities and functions within the Ceylon Chamber Secretariat.
As the Financial Controller, the DSG takes charge of financial matters, including managing the accounts, preparing the Annual Budget, monitoring the financial department’s performance, and contributing to decisions related to financial strategy.
