Business Delegation from the Southern Gujarat
Chamber of Commerce and Industry
A high-level business delegation from the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) recently visited the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The delegation showcased Southern Gujarat’s expertise in key industries, including textiles, diamonds, yarn, and agriculture. They expressed strong interest in forming joint ventures and collaborations with Sri Lankan companies, identifying key areas such as included leveraging Southern Gujarat’s advanced textile manufacturing capabilities, establishing partnerships in gem processing and trading and expanding the export of Sri Lankan agro-products to Gujarat. The delegation also proposed prioritising Wedding Tourism to tap into the growing Indian market for destination weddings.

Business Delegation to Canada
The Sri Lanka-Canada Business Council (SLCBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce conducted a nine-member trade and investment mission to Canada, strengthening bilateral ties and exploring trade, investment, and allied opportunities in key sectors. Held from October 14th to 22nd, the mission facilitated constructive exchanges with Canadian business leaders, government officials, academic institutions, and business chambers.

LogiMAT SouthEast Asia – LogiFOOD SouthEast Asia 2024 Expo
The Ceylon Chamber led a business delegation to the LogiMAT and LogiFood Southeast Asia Exhibition from 15-18 October. In addition to the Exhibition, the delegation also visited the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in #Chonburi and engaged in fruitful discussions with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka and the Thai-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Bangkok. These interactions opened up valuable new business opportunities for the delegation members.

Business Delegation to the INASCA Business Forum and 39th Indonesian Trade Expo
The Sri Lanka–Indonesia Business Council (SLIBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce conducted a Business Promotion Mission to Indonesia from 06 – 11 October 2024. The mission’s primary aim was to strengthen trade, investment, and business ties between Sri Lanka and Indonesia, while exploring opportunities for collaboration in key industries. The delegation comprised Sri Lankan companies representing diverse sectors, including food & beverage, logistics, pharmaceuticals, apparel, travel, IT, and recreation industries.

The Sri Lankan Business Delegation to the Maldives, organised by the Sri Lanka-Maldives Business Council (SLMLBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) and the Sri Lanka High Commission in the Maldives, engaged in several high-level meetings with Maldivian Ministry officials alongside the hotel Asia Exhibition which was held from the 13th to 15th May 2024 in Dharubaaruge, Malé, Maldives.
