The Sri Lanka Climate Summit 2024 organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, serves as a pivotal platform for national dialogue on climate change’s impacts and opportunities for business. Over the course of three days, the summit convenes stakeholders to address not only the pressing risks but also the burgeoning opportunities presented by green growth. Our impressive line-up of speakers comprising national and international leaders of the climate action charge will also be speaking on proactive policy measures to ensure that Sri Lankan businesses are well-positioned to thrive in a world increasingly focused on decarbonization. Under the theme ‘Code Red – Climate Risks and Opportunities for Sri Lankan Businesses’ the conference will be held from 7-9 May, at the Shangri La Hotel Colombo.
To lead these discussions, the Ceylon Chamber has curated a line-up of national and international experts in climate change, including industry experts, policymakers, and academics who will share their insights and perspectives, contributing towards developing a Climate Action Plan. This plan is envisaged to drive the adaptation of green growth and mitigate climate action risks.

The three-day Summit will explore topics including understanding climate science and the risks and opportunities to businesses, the global and local impact of the climate crisis, climate adaptation and resilience, decarbonization, and climate financing mechanisms.
The Summit will close with a plenary session that will consolidate key insights and takeaways into an implementable Climate Action Plan for Sri Lanka’s green and just economic transition.
