The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Mahaweli Development & Environment, is implementing a project titled "Introduction of an Extended Producer Responsibility System (EPR System) for Post-Consumer Management of Plastic Waste” with the support of USAID through Development Innovations Group (DIG). The main objective of the project is to provide essential “technical and advisory capacity support for a circular economy for post-consumer plastic recycling and management” to minimize plastic loadings to the coastal and marine environment.

 

The project has decided to commission a Market and Socio-economic Study to gather necessary information and inputs for formulation of an EPR Roadmap for Sri Lanka. As such, we are pleased to invite interested parties to submit a proposal to undertake this Market and Socio-economic Study, as per the Terms of Reference (ToR), on or before 4.00 pm on 16th April, 2019.

 

·         Proposals should include a technical proposal detailing proposed study methodology with workplan and timeline, past experiences in undertaking similar assignments, references and profile of the lead researcher, as well as a financial proposal detailing all costs pertaining to the study.

·         A copy of the institution’s profile should be forwarded along with the proposal.

·         Proposals should be delivered to EPR Project, The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, No.50, Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 2 on or before 16:00 hours on 16th of April 2019

·         The CCC reserves the rights to negotiate with two or more parties and propose a joint undertaking in order to make optimum use of the technical expertise of different parties and, to accept or reject any proposal without any liability to compensate or to inform any party.
